Kinesis K2
Kinesis Industries debuted its 2-in-1 handheld recharger here at CES, putting solar and wind power generation together in one rugged package.
It has the largest battery capacity of its competitors, with one fully charged K2 able to rejuice a typical cell phone 5 times over; just one hour of wind or sun will give you 30 minutes on the phone. LED lights on the side let you know just how much charge you have left.
You can stand up the K2 or leave it on its side for optimal sun exposure, and a clip in the bottom allows it to hang from your car, bike or ATV an recharge with wind. It comes with a built-in USB port, and a convenient screwcap on the bottom hides all the additional adaptors you need.
The K2 will retail for around $100.
-The largest rechargable battery capacity of its group - ready to use over and over again
-USB port built in with available adapter tips to charge various devices
-Stand up, lay down, or hang the K2 - works in any charging environment
-Always know your power status by LED level indicators with the press of a button
-Durable, weatherproof design you can take anywhere
-Storage inside for multiple device adapter tips
-AC adapter included for pre-charging before you go
-Utilize the FREE power of the sun and wind now within your reach!

Palm Pre
Palm-the company that can be credited with creating the smartphone market, but the company that has also been somewhat behind the curve for the past few years-has just announced the Pre, a phone that will catapult Palm into the smartphone limelight. And rightfully so.
The Pre physically is a very attractive phone, but as we all know, it's what's inside that counts, and that's where the Pre shines. It boasts a full slide-out QWERTY keyboard, Wi-Fi/Bluetooth/GPS, a 3.1-inch touchscreen with a gesture area below, and a 3-megapixel camera with LED flash. But more importantly, Palm created an incredible user interface for the Pre. Some of the features are totally innovative and some feel familiar, but in a good way.
Palm® Synergy™ brings Outlook®, Google, and Facebook® calendars together so that you can see them all at once in a layered view.

Universal search looks through your contacts, applications, Google and Wikipedia as you begin typing. The search results are narrowed down to the possible results as you type. This seems a lot like Spotlight in Mac's OS X, but I still like it.

Palm's Synergy combines all your messaging. So, for example, if you text and IM one person, the texts and IMs between the two of you are brought together into one chat-style view.

The Pre can even charge wirelessly. By placing the Pre on the Touchstone, or dock, the phone charges.

I've gone through only a few of the Pre's many features to show you how wonderful it's UI is. Check out Palm's website to learn more about the Pre. The price hasn't been announced, but expect it to be more than $200.

66°North Glymur Neck Gaiter/Hat
The Glymur Neck Gaiter/Hat works great as a neck gaiter, but since it's made of Polartec® Power Stretch® fabric, it can to stretch to fit your head better. The adjustable cord at one end allows you to cinch one side closed to make a proper hat. This kind of versatility will make the Glymur a favorite on skiing and hiking trips (and pretty much on any trip where it gets chilly). This is exactly the kind of thing my brother Gavi would love. The North Face Reversible Mercurial Jacket
The North Face has lots of innovative ideas (see the primo backpack), but this one is so simple, I just love it. The Mercurial Jacket is great for keeping you warm and for letting you cool off a little, which is great, especially if you're in the mountains where temperatures can swing drastically and quickly.
Dyson: The Man's Vacuum
The Dyson DC24 houses all the same power and technology that makes Dyson vacuums awesome in an ultra-lightweight and compact body (it weighs only 11.65 pounds). This mean machine turns on a dime (Ball technology), doesn't lose suction (Root Cyclone technology), and cleans all floor types. And as is true with all Dyson vacuums, there are no extra costs since there are no bags or filters to buy. To top it all off, the beast actually cleans the air you breathe too; the air cycled out of a Dyson has 150 times less mold and bacteria. [$400]
